{"id":307792,"date":"2019-03-22T21:18:41","date_gmt":"2019-03-22T21:18:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nahrungsmittel-intoleranz.com\/histamine-intolerance-diet\/"},"modified":"2023-12-08T18:40:06","modified_gmt":"2023-12-08T18:40:06","slug":"histamine-intolerance-diet","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.nahrungsmittel-intoleranz.com\/en\/histamine-intolerance-diet\/","title":{"rendered":"Histamine intolerance diet"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The most important measure for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nahrungsmittel-intoleranz.com\/en\/the-phenomenon-of-histaminosis\/\">histamine intolerance<\/a> is to consume as little histamine as possible in the diet.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>There are a few simple basic rules that you should follow:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Avoid canned or ready-made products<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avoid overripe foods (old cheese, fermented products, old fish, &#8230;)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Histamine contents can change! They depend on the state of ripeness and hygiene of the food.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avoid alcohol<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Always point out histamine intolerance before seeking medical treatment. Especially for operations under anesthesia.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Always have an emergency kit with you (should be prescribed by the doctor; contents could be diamine oxidase, antihistamines, asthma spray, &#8230;)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Certain <a title=\"Histamine medication anti histamine\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nahrungsmittel-intoleranz.com\/en\/histamine-intolerance-and-medication\/\">medications<\/a> should be avoided (please discuss this with your doctor!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Always eat food straight from the fridge, do not take it out beforehand and let it warm up! The fresher, the better!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-generell-solltest-du-diese-nahrungsmittel-vermeiden\">You should generally avoid these foods:<\/h2>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Alcoholic beverages<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hard cheese or well-ripened cheese<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salami<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nuts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tomatoes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Citrus fruits (sometimes well tolerated)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fish (unless it is very fresh)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tuna (not well tolerated even when fresh)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Seafood (mussels, crabs, &#8230;)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spinach<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sauerkraut<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strawberries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and much more.<br\/><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nahrungsmittel-intoleranz.com\/en\/histamine-intolerance-food-list\/\">You can find<\/a> a more detailed <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nahrungsmittel-intoleranz.com\/en\/histamine-intolerance-food-list\/\">list here<\/a> and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"individuelle Tabellen findest du in unserer App \" frag=\"\" ingrid=\"\" in=\"\" neuem=\"\" tab=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.frag-ingrid.com\" target=\"_blank\">individual tables in our free app &#8220;Ask Ingrid&#8221;<\/a>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-app-hilft-bei-der-histaminintoleranz-ernahrung\">App helps with the histamine intolerance diet<\/h2>\n\n<p>We have developed an app for those affected. Avoid these additives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Young cheeses (cream cheese, young Gouda, butter cheese) are better tolerated than well-aged cheeses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Yeast is histamine-free, but it converts histidine into histamine when the dough is left to rise. Yeast-free breads are therefore better tolerated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lamb&#8217;s lettuce, fennel, cucumber, chicken, pumpkin and rice are examples of well-tolerated foods. And they are the ingredients of a delicious lunch!
